Journal of Applied Journalism & Media Studies

Dear JRE members

We are glad to inform you that Intellect, the international publishers, and one of the world's most prestigious printers of media, communication and culture titles, will be taking over our journal, the Journal of Applied Journalism and Media Studies.

This is great news. It normally takes more three years before an international publisher mulls printing a journal like ours.

We are lucky to have secured one of the best publishers even before starting printing in earnest.Copies of the inaugural issue will be sent to you shortly. Intellect has set up a new website.

However, it is still under construction. The website will carry all the information that is necessary for a journal like ours to have.
It will also make available for free downloada selected number of articles.

As editors and members of the board, we all have a stake in this journal of ours. As editors we shall be happy to know that you have persuaded your institutions to subscribe to the journal.

This year, and owing to the large burden of work, we will only publish two issues. The next issue will come out in October.
In 2013, we will print three times a year, with the possibility of having one or two special issues in between.

Publishing special issues is one of our priorities due to the backlog of submissions we have - an indication of the interest the general has generated from both academics and practitioners.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch in case of any queries you may have.

Best wishes,

Leon and Ibrhaim
Co-editors of Journal of Applied Journalism and Media Studies
